Public Auction Car – Is It Time You Get One? Public Car Auctions Why You Might Want to Look Into Them
Feb 24

manheim-auction-21898When you find it’s time to look for a new car, you can do no better than to pick up one at  government auto auctions. So when I say “new car,” what I mean is, a car near to you. What you’ll actually be purchasing is a “previously owned vehicle,” as the auto dealers say. Yes, that is code for “used car”, but when we’re talking about government auto auctions, you’ve got the opportunity to pick up a pretty nice car at a pretty nice press.

What kinds of cars are in these auctions? Well, they are not all cars repossessed from criminals, for a start. Indeed, what you’ll find is that several branches of the government hold these types of auctions. Law enforcement agencies that seize cars from drug dealers and so (not to mention other items – jewelry, clothing and so on) offer them for auction.

But there are other governmental agencies that offer other types of cars. Police cars are typically recycled ever few years, as are cars used “on government business” – whatever that business might be.

Now, what’s really nice about these cars are they are typically very well kept up – the last thing the government wants is for people to see a car “on government business” pulled over to the side of the road, broken down. So they get regular maintenance, and are kept in garages, and so on.

So all you need to do is find out when one of these government auto auctions is being held, and to do that you can look on the web. The government partners with a few auction sites, depending on what part of the country they’re in, and once you find the right site for your area, you can really go to town…and soon be driving to town in nice new car.
